For tipsters

Sell betting tips on Telegram with a paid tipster channel

Betting tips suit Telegram: they are short, time sensitive, and worth little if they arrive after the odds have moved.

With MyMembers your subscribers pay you directly through your own Stripe account, and the bot manages who is in your members channel. On match day you post tips. You do not chase payments or prune the member list.

Who this is for

  • Tipsters covering football, horse racing, tennis, darts or any sport with a regular calendar.
  • Tipsters who post free picks on social media or a public Telegram channel and want a paid tier for the full card.
  • Small teams where several tipsters post into one members channel.
  • Tipsters moving off bank transfers and a spreadsheet of expiry dates.
The model

How a paid tipster channel works

Front door

A free public channel

Your public channel is where you earn trust. Post a free tip or two each week and settle every one in public: stake, odds taken, result. A record that includes the losing runs persuades better than a screenshot of one winner.

The product

A paid channel or group

The private channel carries the full service: every selection with the stake in points, the odds you took and the lowest odds you would still take, posted early enough for members to get on. Keep it a channel, not a group, so tips stay easy to find.

The promise

What members get

Tell people how many bets to expect in a normal week, which sports and markets you cover, what time of day you post and how you report results. Members who know a quiet week is normal do not cancel during one.

Setup

Set up your paid tips channel

The steps below are the whole setup. The one tipsters most often skip is the age setting in step two.

  1. 1

    Connect Stripe

Start onboarding and connect your own Stripe account. Subscribers pay you there directly, under your own seller name.

  2. 2

Create your page and mark it 18+

Create your page at mymembers.io/yourname and switch on the 18+ setting in the page settings. It shows an age warning before a visitor can view the page.

  3. 3

Add the bot to your members channel

Add @mymembersadminbot to your private tips channel as an admin with full admin rights. If you run separate channels for football and racing, connect each one.

  4. 4

    Create your plans

Set a price and a billing interval of weeks, months or years, and choose which channels each plan unlocks.

  5. 5

Post the link where your followers are

Pin it in your free channel and add it to your social bios. Members are invited when they pay and removed when their subscription ends.

Pricing

Pricing patterns tipsters use

Pick the structure that matches how your sport runs. You can offer several plans side by side on the same page.

Monthly

The standard. It matches how members should judge a tipster: over a month of bets, not one weekend.

Weekly

A weekly interval suits followers who only want you for part of a season or one big meeting.

Season long

A yearly plan, or one billed every few months, for members who follow you across a whole season.

Free trial days

A short trial lets a new member see real tips before the first charge. By default trials apply to new members only.

Coupons

Create a coupon, as a percentage or a fixed amount, for the start of a season or a major tournament.

Per sport and all sports

One plan per sport channel, and a combined plan that unlocks all of them.

What to watch out for when you sell tips

Betting tips are allowed on MyMembers under conditions set in the acceptable use policy. These are the ones that matter most.

No guaranteed winnings
The policy forbids promising guaranteed profits or winnings. Words like "sure win", "fixed" or "can’t lose" have no place on your page or in your posts.
Report results honestly
Invented results and reviews are banned. Record results to your advised stakes, at odds that were available when you posted, and include the losing months.
Adults only, in places where it is legal
Keep the 18+ setting on. Licences, disclaimers and marketing rules in the countries you sell to are your responsibility, so do not market tips where betting or selling tips is not allowed.
Expect no search traffic to an 18+ page
An age-restricted sales page is kept out of search engines. New members will come from your own channels and social accounts.
Say the safer gambling part out loud
Tell members to bet only what they can afford to lose, and point to a gambling support service that is relevant where your members live.
Check Stripe, then deliver
Your Stripe account must accept your business, so read the Stripe restricted businesses list first. After that, post what you promised and handle refund requests fairly.Stripe restricted businesses list(opens in a new tab)

What it costs

MyMembers charges a 5% commission on each sale. There is no monthly fee, and the fee is invoiced monthly for the previous month. If you sell at high volume, we agree a lower rate with you. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account, where Stripe's own processing fees apply.

Smart Recovery, an optional service that tries to win back members who cancel or fail to renew, is on by default for new pages. You pay for it only when a member is recovered: 20% of the revenue it recovers, as set out in the terms. You can turn it off in your page settings.
