Who is the seller, and how do payouts and VAT work?

Short answer

You are the seller. Your members pay directly into your own Stripe account, so payout timing, bank details, payout currency and tax settings are all managed in your Stripe dashboard. There is no MyMembers payout threshold.

Payouts

MyMembers never holds your money. Payments from your members go to your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on the schedule set there. Open your Stripe dashboard from Subscribers > Stripe Dashboard.

You are the seller

You are the seller of everything you sell through MyMembers. The contract for a subscription is between you and your subscriber, and MyMembers is not a party to your sales.

Your page shows your seller name and your terms of sale. The business name and statement descriptor on your Stripe account must be your own.

Tax and VAT on your sales

You are responsible for all taxes on your sales, including VAT, GST and sales tax in the countries where your subscribers are located. That includes registering where required, charging the correct tax, issuing any required invoices, and reporting and paying the tax.

MyMembers does not calculate, collect or remit tax on your sales. Tax settings are managed in your Stripe dashboard.

Your terms of sale

Open "My Pages" > "Manage" > "Customize" and fill in "Your Terms of Sale" with a link to your own terms. If you leave it empty, standard terms in your name are used. Buyers agree to these terms when they buy.

Refunds and disputes

You handle questions, complaints, refunds and disputes from your subscribers. Chargebacks and payment disputes are raised against your Stripe account and are yours to answer.
