How to set up a paid Telegram channel or group
Short answer
Create an account at https://mymembers.io/signup, choose "Set Up a Paid Page", connect your Stripe account, create your page with a price, and connect your Telegram channel or group. Payments from your members go directly into your own Stripe account.
Set up your page
- Create an account at https://mymembers.io/signup.
- On your dashboard choose "Set Up a Paid Page". The onboarding has three steps: create a Stripe account (or skip if you have one), connect Stripe, and create your page.
- To connect Stripe, click the link in the onboarding to create a restricted API key in Stripe. Do not change any permissions. Paste the key (it starts with rk_live), choose your country and click "Connect".
- Click "Create My Page" and choose a pricing model ("Free", "Subscription" or "Single payment"), a currency and a price.
- Open your page with "Manage", go to the "Channels" tab and connect your Telegram channel or group.
Channel or group?
Use a channel if only you post and members read. Use a group if you want members to chat with each other. MyMembers works the same way with both, and one page can include several channels and groups.
Share your payment link
Your payment link is your MyMembers page address: https://mymembers.io/ followed by your page name. Share it in your free channel, your bio or anywhere else.
After paying, members get their join links on the confirmation page, in a welcome email, and under "My Orders" when they sign in.
Before you choose
The pricing model, the currency and the page link are chosen when the page is created and cannot be changed from the dashboard afterwards. You need a Stripe account in a supported country.
What it costs
There is no monthly fee and no setup cost. MyMembers charges a 5% platform fee on each payment you receive, invoiced once a month. Stripe's own processing fees are separate and charged by Stripe.
